BATP Food Pantry Night

April is Sexual Assault Awareness month. According to a 2010 CDC report, 24 people a minute are victims of rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner. 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence at least once in their lifetime. Domestic violence is the third leading cause of homelessness among families. Bay Area Turning Point is a vital life line for survivors of domestic violence which is why we are proud to support them this April in their food pantry.

We will assist the shelter by processing the mountain of food items collected by McWhirter Elementary students by sorting, labeling, and organizing in the food pantry.

Join us Thursday, April 25th, 2019 from 4-8pm! Please meet at the main BATP main office promptly at 4pm so we can caravan over to the food pantry.

Due to the sensitive nature of the facility this volunteer opportunity is limited to current AUA members with a maximum capacity of 10 volunteers – so be sure to email us at to get registered ASAP! By registering you are agreeing to have a background check run.
